Founded by Claire, Stephen, & Will Golding

A safe space where gaming is the connection point, not the end goal.

Ignition Gamers was created as a space where gaming serves as the engine for real-world growth. Grounded in Social-Emotional Learning, Relational Pedagogy, and trauma-informed teaching, we support families, carers, and young people by unlocking emotional regulation tools through intentional, collaborative play.

Dale
Senior Peer Support Worker and Operations Manager
Living with Dyslexia, Dale co-designed this course to be everything he wished existed — visual, simple, and zero walls of text. After 4 years watching participants go from quiet and withdrawn to confidently making friends, he channelled that experience into every lesson.
Ab
Peer Support Worker
Ab is a dedicated peer worker at Ignition Gamers, passionate about personal growth and helping others thrive. With a background as a professional chef and a new path in youth work, Ab brings warmth, understanding, and a love for gaming to the team.
Will
Adult Course Instructional Designer
Living with 47XYY and ASD, Will created Ignition Gamers from his own experience of wanting to feel understood and connected. He developed the concept, name, and logo, shaping a space where gaming becomes a pathway to confidence and real-world growth.

A thriving community

What Parents Say

“We have tried so many programs over the years, but this is the first approach that truly made sense for our family. I finally felt like I had tools I could use in the moment. My son is learning, growing and connecting through something he genuinely enjoys.”

Fiona L. — Parent of 15 y/o participant

“My daughter has always loved gaming, but I used to worry it was not preparing her for life beyond the screen. This course helped me understand how to guide her through big emotions instead of shutting gaming down. She is managing stress better.”
Michael D. — Parent of 19 y/o participant
“Before we started, my son would get frustrated so easily. I often felt unsure how to respond. Now I know what to look for and how to step in calmly. He recognises when he is becoming overwhelmed and takes a break before things spiral.”
Sara M. — Parent of 16 y/o participant
